Veterinarian
Kayla grew up on a small farm in Rimbey, surrounded by a variety of animals. After high school, she headed to the University of Saskatchewan where she completed her degree in Agriculture. Following this, she travelled across the world to rainy Glasgow, Scotland to obtain her veterinary degree. This experience gave her valuable life experience and fueled her love for travel. Spending her summers back in Alberta, Kayla worked as a student at Lacombe Veterinary Center for two summers. After graduating veterinary school in 2023, she joined the team. Currently Kayla resides on a farm near Gull Lake with her husband. They manage a small cow herd and have two basset hounds, Briggs and Sadie, and two cats, Dino and Rocket. Kayla is passionate about both small animal and bovine medicine. Beyond her professional life, she enjoys travelling, horseback riding, and spending quality time with her family.
